Michel holds no grudge against Getafe after he was released this week.
The club announced on their website on Monday that the 48-year-old would not be in charge of the first team next season as his deal was not being extended.
Michel said in a statement: "After three seasons with happy endings and more than 100 games as coach of Getafe, it is time to end my professional relationship with the club - but not my personal relationship, as I have love and appreciation for this club and I could never forget my time here.
"The happy circumstances that have surrounded my professional development here make my memory a pleasant and endearing one and now I become a fan again, wherever my career takes me."
