Michel delighted with Getafe return after 10-year absence

New Getafe coach Michel is delighted to be back.

Michel replaces Jose Bordalas ten years since he last worked for Getafe.

"It is an honour to return to this club," said the former Real Madrid captain. "I have suffered with some bad situations and I have been happy with the good ones but I think it has improved a lot. It also has a personalised essence in the president (Ángel Torres), a man of his word.

"I am very excited, even more than the first time I came, because I really like the club, what I know, the essence, the word and the squad I have.

"We must continue with the work that all the coaches have done, who have done very well, each in their own way, and the last one, Bordalás, who has put the team at the highest level.

"Now we must try to achieve what almost it has always been, that it is a second team for all fans. One can be for any team but Getafe has always been well received, recognised, as a team and as a club."
