Michail Antonio says the players need to dig West Ham out of the doldrums and not manager Slaven Bilic.
The Hammers have conceded eight goals in two games and 13 in all this season, the worst defensive record in the Premier League.
“We don't have the resilience we had last year, but we need to find that and get it back," said Antonio.
“We can't rely on the manager to rally us, we have to do it ourselves.
“We are all senior players, we have all played games, we've all played enough games to understand what we need. We can't put it down to the gaffer, we have to put it down to ourselves."
