Michael Drennan has turned pro at Aston Villa.

Drennan has celebrated his 17th birthday in style by putting pen to paper on his first-ever professional contract.

The teenage striker has been impressive for Villa's U18s side this term and at youth level for the Republic of Ireland.

Villa's academy director Bryan Jones described Drennan as a forward who "scores goals for fun" earlier this season.
