Metz president Bernard Serin has confirmed the French club have reached a "verbal agreement" with Tottenham over Pape Matar Sarr.

Spurs will reportedly pay ten million euros for the 20-year-old midfielder

"Nothing is signed, but I have a verbal agreement with the president of Tottenham," Serin said, via Le Republicain Lorrain.

Serin added that Spurs have agreed to loan Sarr immediately back to the Ligue 1 club for the 2021/22 season.

"Yes, if the transfer is to Tottenham, he will be loaned to FC Metz," he said.
