Former Barcelona fullback Ivan Balliu is delighted with his impact for Metz.

Blocked by Daniel Alves and Martin Montoya at Barca, Balliu left for Arouca in 2013 before finding his best form in France with Metz.

He told Foot Mercato: "I do not know and I would never know it to tell the truth. Suddenly I decided to leave because in front of me there was Dani Alves and Martin Montoya and I saw that the position was blocked.

"So I decided to leave and try my luck elsewhere."

The Spaniard, 25, signed for Metz on a two-year deal in July 2015.
