Lionel Messi was in the ear of Gerard Deulofeu during Barcelona's triumph over Getafe.
Deulofeu entered early in the first-half to replace crocked teammate Ousmane Dembele.
Sport says Messi stuck close to Deulofeu, ordering him to work the right flank and not crowd Jordi Alba on the opposite wing.
The Argentine also had Deulofeu clear out the middle so allowing him to work centrally when in possession.
Barca coach Ernesto Valverde admits Deulofeu will have more playing chances in the absence of Dembele, though accepts they're different type of players.
