Barcelona ace Leo Messi has given his approval to their move for Real Sociedad fullback Alvaro Odriozola.

Messi has a formal say on Barca transfer policy and after being informed of their interest in Odriozola, the Argentine has given the deal his green light.

The youngster is also on Real Madrid's radar, but with nothing agreed Barca believe they can tempt him to the Nou Camp.

And news that he has the support of Messi could swing the deal in Barca's favour.

The Argentine has been impressed by the fullback when facing La Real, including last night's 1-0 win, reports Diario Gol - and he made his opinion known to technical staff in the aftermath of the end of season celebrations.
