Super agent Jorge Mendes has been urged to leave Justin Kluivert at Ajax this summer.

The winger has been linked with Manchester United in recent days.

But former Ajax scout Guido Friedrich has revealed he's recommended to Mendes that Kluivert isn't ready to leave the Eredivisie.

Friedrich does some work for Mendes' Gestifute agency and revealed to Voetbalzone: "Kluivert has absolutely good moments and I think he is a top talent, but Mendes sometimes asks me if he is already ready for the absolute top of Europe.

"'I do not think so,' I said, certainly not as a number 11. If he's to play for the top clubs, you have to play well every week."
