Melbourne Victory release Asian Champions League squad

Melbourne Victory have released their 25-man squad for the 2011 Asian Champions League competition.

In a surprise move by Victory officials, young striker Mate Dugandzic has been left out of the squad despite playing all but three matches in the A-League this season.

21-year old Dugandzic reportedly refused to sign a new contract with the club as he seeks a move to a rival club, believed to be Melbourne Heart.

Recent Victory additions Isaka Cernak from North Queensland Fury and Tando Velaphi from Perth Glory have been included for the tournament which kicks off on Tuesday, May 1 against Gamba Osaka in Japan.
