Melbourne Victory loan Ricardinho to Brazilian outfit Parana Clube

Brazilian striker Ricardinho has been loaned back to homeland club Parana Clube.

The 27-year old had a frustrating time in the A-League in his debut season with Melbourne Victory, scoring just twice in 19 appearances as he settled in Australia.

The club have confirmed he will head back to Brazil until the end of 2011 after being left out of the Asian Champions League squad and he will go back to be involved with regular first team football and get himself back to top match fitness.

Victory football operations manager Gary Cole admitted Ricardinho would get back his 'rhythm' with the loan deal.

"Moving across the other side of the world is difficult enough, but when you add injuries into the equation it became pretty difficult for Ricardinho to get into any sort of rhythm last season," Cole said.

"With a significant break between seasons and having missed out on our AFC Champions League squad, as a footballer he understandably wanted to play regular football. An opportunity came up for him to return home to Brazil and we were happy to accommodate."

Ricardinho had a short stint with Parana back in 2008, scoring six goals in 16 appearances in Brazil's Serie B.
