Melbourne Victory have announced the re-signing of club stalwart Archie Thompson on a one-year deal.
The 36-year-old has been a Victory player since the inaugural season of the Hyundai A-League, making 210 appearances and scoring a league-record 89 goals.
Thompson told melbournevictory.com.au he was delighted to have signed with the reigning A-League Champions for another season.
"I always wanted to stay and now that it has all worked out that way, I couldn't be happier," Thompson said.
"To be a one-club player is very important to me and I feel like I can give something back to the club and the fans that have been so supportive of me over ten great years."
