Melbourne City boss Van ’t Schip plays down link with ex-Stoke keeper Sorensen

Melbourne City coach John van 't Schip played a straight bat when questioned over his club's interest in Danish goalkeeper Thomas Sorensen.

City have just one goalkeeper in their squad at present - Tando Velaphi - which has prompted the link with the former Premier League shot-stopper.

Van't Schip, speaking ahead of City's FFA Cup clash with Edgeworth on Tuesday, gave nothing away when questioned about the 39-year-old.

"We can't give any comments on that – it's all speculation," the Dutchman said.

"We only will bring it out when it's 100 per cent."
