Bolton boss Gary Megson would like to see the Premier League set a maximum number for squad sizes, reports the Manchester Evening News. "If it's good enough for the Champions League, and therefore UEFA, that you have to name a squad, why, in the actual league format, do we not do the same thing?" he asked.

"It would make it a lot fairer and would change it a little bit what the big boys could do.

"They would still have 25 best players but as it stands at the moment one club in this division has 62 players and we have 19! That's what we're up against all the time.

"But these are changes that can be done at the drop of a hat if everyone sat down and discussed it."
