Juventus defender Medhi Benatia was delighted to score the winner against former club Roma.

Benatia bundled the ball home for the only goal of the game.

“I am pleased, because Roma are doing well and are one of our rivals for the Scudetto. Scoring against my former teammates is pleasing, though of course I have friends there who I care about and my family was in the stadium tonight," the defender told Mediaset Premium.

“We could've had a second or third goal, but we only ran a risk at the end with my error. The ball bobbled, Chiellini wanted me to hoof it clear, and he was right, but fortunately Wojciech Szczesny made a great save."

As Inter and Roma lost this weekend, Juventus and Napoli break away at the top.
