Former Hull City defender Paul McShane has hailed Andrew Robertson's qualities.
While Hull may have endured a painful relegation from the Premier League last season, there were quite a few positives for the Tigers to look back upon and the development of defender Robertson was certainly one of them.
On the basis of his performances, it is clear to see that Robertson has a big future ahead of him and former teammate McShane has stated his belief that the youngster has the potential to reach the very top.
McShane said: "Andy Robertson's a great lad. He came down to Hull last season and did well. It's only a couple of years since he was handing out programmes at Hampden Park so his is a fairytale story really.
"I left Hull at the end of the season. I was a bit disappointed but we all know there's no romance in the game. But I really do wish Andy all the best in future because I enjoyed my time alongside him there.
"Andy's still young and he's still learning the game but he's got a really good attitude and he was a great lad to have around the place. He is a very grounded lad but he has a lot of potential, too. He has the ability to go to the very top. But this weekend I'll look to bury him."
