Sam McQueen has signed a short term contract extension with Southampton.
The full back has been given until January to impress boss Ralph Hasenhuttl, per The Athletic.
McQueen has suffered in the past few years due to injury problems.
He has not played a competitive game since a serious knee injury he suffered in October 2018 during a loan at Middlesbrough.
McQueen has played 29 games for the Saints' first team, after coming through the club's youth setup.
