Birmingham City boss Alex McLeish is calm about his contract at St Andrews.
Big Eck remains on a yearly rolling deal with Brum.
Two years into his tenure at St Andrew's, McLeish is cagey about the details of his deal, saying: "My lawyer sorted out the deal for me. I was happy with it. It was not really 'I must have a rolling contract' it was just the way it worked out.
"The most important thing about a contract is the day they don't want you anymore and make sure you get that part right.
"As long as the i's and t's were sorted out, then I trusted my lawyer so it was fine and I was happy with it.
"I wanted to come down to England and prove myself. Again, I'm not saying that has been done. We've got to keep going.
"It wasn't about money when I came. It was about getting a chance in the Premier League."
