Central Coast Mariners midfielder Michael McGlinchey is delighted with how things are progressing this season.
The New Zealand international is becoming a key ingredient in the Mariners line-up, helping the Gosford club to third on the A-League table, but he is not about to let things go along at a leisurely pace.
"I couldn't be happier with my form or how the team is progressing," McGlinchey told the Express Advocate.
"Brisbane (a 2-0 loss on October 20) was a setback but we hit back perfectly against Perth (on the weekend).
"It's important to keep that going on Friday night (against North Queensland Fury)."
And from an individual viewpoint, McGlinchey feels he is been given the freedom by coach Graham Arnold to really play his preferred style of game.
"I was finding my feet and still am," he added.
"Arnie has given me the confidence to take on the defence and have a go, that's how I like to play. As a midfield group it's important we put pressure on the defence."
