North Queensland Fury have added Brad McDonald from the Brisbane Strikers on a one-year deal.
The 20-year old defender trialled with the Fury during pre-season after being invited by former Strikers coach and current Fury assistant Stuart McLaren.
McDonald impressed head coach Franz Straka enough for the Czech tactician to offer him a deal and he was delighted when the offer came through.
"I'm obviously delighted to be given this opportunity and it's one I'm determined to make the most of. There is great energy around the club and the football set-up is excellent. Although I hope to play an important role in the team's success this season, I'm also looking forward to continuing my footballing education under our head coach, Franz Straka, who has such a wealth of knowledge and encourages the team to play an attractive brand of football," he said.
"I'd also like to take the opportunity to thank the Brisbane Strikers who have released me during their Finals campaign to allow me to pursue my goal of playing in the A-League. Without their support, this dream move would not have been possible at this time."
