McCulloch's Scotland decision welcomed by Levein

Scotland coach Craig Levein has welcomed Lee McCulloch's decision to make himself available for the national team. The Rangers player announced he did not wish to be considered a few games into George Burley's reign, in order to focus on his club career.

"I know all about Lee," said Levein, who is due to name his squad next Monday.

"The great advantage for me of having been a manager in the SPL is I have seen a lot of him over the years.

"He's a really good player and is doing very well for Rangers this season.

"So Lee's decision is naturally of interest to me. I want to see good players with Scotland.

"I don't have a squad yet so I don't have a clue what every single name will be on it but I will look at every person who is eligible."
