Rangers boss Ally McCoist saw his team bounce back from a shock League Cup defeat in midweek to Falkirk with a comfortable 4-0 SPL success at Dunfermline. Two goals from Steven Naismith and one each from United States internationals Carlos Bocanegra and Maurice Edu did the damage.
"It was very important we got the response," said McCoist.
"One of the key areas - our centre-halves were very influential in the game the positions they took up."
McCoist praised Scotland forward Steven Naismith who has scored eight goals this season.
"He (Naismith) is on a great run at the moment and long may that continue," said McCoist.
"I just the feel the important thing is the timing of Steven's runs."
