Former Manchester United assistant manager Steve McClaren has turned down a move to Maccabi Tel Aviv.
The Daily Mail says McClaren held positive talks this week over a move to Maccabi Tel Aviv but has decided not to head to Israel for "personal reasons".
Maccabi manager Jordi Cruyff wanted to recruit McClaren as an assistant coach in a special consultancy role but the former England boss has ultimately declined.
McClaren has been out of work since leaving Derby County in March.
Cruyff worked with McClaren at Manchester United, where the Dutchman was a player and the Englishman was the assistant manager at the turn of the millennium.
