Newcastle United manager Steve McClaren has high hopes for new signing Aleksandar Mitrovic.
Mitrovic has been one of Newcastle's marquee signings this summer and while the striker failed to put the ball in the back of the net during his home debut against Borussia Mönchengladbach on Saturday, manager McClaren is encouraged by what he has seen so far from the Serbian international.
McClaren told the Chronicle: "I think so. I think you saw that, didn't you? He's one of them old type of centre-forwards isn't he? And he's only 20 years old so he's still got a lot of potential to come.
"I wish he'd have just stuck the ball in the back of the net. That would have made the day perfect."
