Central Coast Mariners have announced that striker Daniel McBreen has signed a one-year contract extension.
The 35-year old has been a valuable member of the Mariners squad since joining from Perth Glory in 2010, helping them to runners-up status in 2010/11 before guiding the club to the minor Premiership last season.
Despite his ageing years, the former Falkirk and York City man is excited about continuing on for the Central Coast just like 37-year old teammate Patrick Zwaanswijk.
"I love the game and I want to keep playing for as long as I can at the highest standard I can.
"I had a couple of injuries which held me back when I was around 30 and it has taken me the last 18 months to two years to realise my peak fitness again.""If you look after yourself you can play quite late into your thirties," McBreen said. "'Zwaany' is a great example of that.
