West Bromwich Albion defender Gareth McAuley says they need to strengthen the squad this January market.
Liverpool's Rickie Lambert is thought to be a possibility, although Brendan Rodgers is in no rush to lose the England striker.
Blackburn's Rudy Gestede is also an interesting proposition, although it appears any moves for Stoke's Peter Crouch and Jonathan Walters are currently wide of the mark.
"We would definitely welcome that (new faces). Everybody wants the best for the club and we need help," said McAuley.
"We need players there to make us better and if the gaffer feels that needs to happen everybody will be fully supportive of it. Hopefully we can get bodies through the door and the sooner the better because games are coming thick and fast."
