James McArthur is willing to bide his time at Wigan Athletic.

The midfielder knows competition for places in the middle of the park is fierce and nothing less than 100% will help him find a way into the team.

"The midfielders are doing really well at the moment," McArthur told the Latics website.

"Against Tottenham, against Sunderland and against City I think they did very well in the centre of the park.

"I just need to bide my time and take any chances that come my way."
