Leeds United boss Gary McAllister has revealed he's recommended they open new contract talks with defender Rui Marques.

Sunderland are eyeing Marques, who is off contract in the summer, but McAllister said: "My contract doesn't go beyond May at the moment but my advice and recommendation is to keep him. He's a first-class player and a good man to have around the football club."
