Former Manchester United defender David May feels for Phil Jones over his injury problems.

May is unsure whether United can rely on Jones long-term.

He explained to the Manchester Evening News: "Jones is a centre half. He's not a midfield player. Of those three he has got the potential to be a great centre half.

"He's had a few injuries, which is never nice.

"I've had my fair share of injuries and trying to get momentum into your game is tough."
