Liverpool reserves coach John McMahon says Chris Mavinga is settling in well at Anfield.

The former PSG defender was outstanding in the mini-derby victory over Everton this week.

McMahon told liverpoolfc.tv: "Chris has been fantastic all season.

"He is still learning the game but he is improving. He is learning the language and is a great character to have around the place.

"He's got tenacity, enthusiasm and has a great desire to want to win. He wants to win every tackle and every header and it's a fantastic attribute to have."
