Mattia Destro is excited over his move to AC Milan.
The former AS Roma striker signed for Milan yesterday.
"It was beautiful," said Destro to MilanNews.it of his welcome by fans.
"I'm very happy to be here and to be part of this group.
"I already spoke with [Coach Filippo] Inzaghi, there is a strong drive to do well and to prove that Milan is a great team, starting from this Sunday.
"I can't wait to get on to the pitch and play. As for my role, the Coach will decide. I have a great desire to impress.
"I haven't chosen my shirt number yet, I'll do that in the next few hours. This is a great opportunity for me, I can't wait to play and get to know everyone.
"I send my greetings to the tifosi, we'll do everything we can to have a great championship."
