Joel Matip will miss Liverpool's clash against Chelsea on Wednesday but Ragnar Klavan is expected to feature on the day.

Matip suffered an ankle injury during Liverpool's friendly victory over Wigan Athletic last week and the Cameroonian has not featured in a full training session so far in the Reds' United States tour.

As a result, Matip will not be featuring in Liverpool's encounter against Chelsea at the Pasadena Rose Bowl in the International Champions Cup but fellow new signing Klavan is expected to step in to the centre-back position for the 24-year-old during the clash.
