Matej Delac tribute to Chelsea as he ends 8-year spell (without ever making debut)

Matej Delac has left Chelsea after eight years with the club.

The goalkeeper joined Chelsea from Inter Zapresic in 2010 but work permit issues meant that he was frequently loaned out. He leaves the Blues for Danish club AC Horsens.

Despite the frustration that he endured, the 25-year-old is still grateful that he was a Chelsea player.

He wrote on Instagram: "It has been an honour and a privilege to be part of @chelseafc family for 8 years. I wish to thank you all in the Club for making me a better man and a better goalkeeper.

"01.07.2018. I'm officially a new player of @ac_horsens, and hope to have a great time in Denmark."

DELAC'S LOAN CLUBS:

2010-11: Vitesse

2011-12: Dynamo Ceske Budejovice

2012-13: Vitoria de Guimaraes

2013: Inter Zapresic

2013: Vojvodina

2014: Sarajevo

2014-15: Arles-Avignon

2015-16: Sarajevo

2016-17: Mouscron
