Juan Mata says Manchester United's players were "left with a bad taste" in their mouths following Saturday's 2-2 draw with Chelsea.
The Red Devils were heading for an unlikely win after Anthony Martial's two goals cancelled out Antonio Rudiger's opener. But with seconds remaining, Ross Barkley equalised for the Blues.
"What happened on the pitch was exciting, too, but in the end we were left with a bad taste in our mouths because we could almost reach out and touch the three points," Mata wrote in his weekly blog.
"Fighting back against Chelsea at their place deserves a lot of credit, especially as they have been consistently strong this season, and the team showed character to do so.
"We managed to turn the scoreline around and were just seconds away from taking three points."
