Newcastle United signing Sylvain Marveaux hopes his move helps him catch the eye of France coach Laurent Blanc.
Marveaux's capture ended a lengthy pursuit by the Magpies, and now the former Under 21 international is determined to show what he can do both to the Tyneside fans and senior national boss Blanc.
Asked if forcing his way into Blanc's plans is an ambition, the Marveaux said: "One day, if they call me, of course.
"But first of all, I have to do great work here to be called. The most important thing now is my new club and my new life.
"I will do my best to make it."
