Former Manchester United goalkeeper Roy Carroll is being linked with Wigan Athletic.

The Daily Mail says Roberto Martinez will look to strengthen Wigan's goalkeeping position after becoming manager at the JJB Stadium.

Martinez, who will be unveiled on Thursday, enquired after Derby's Carroll while at Swansea City and is expected to renew his interest, with the future of Richard Kingson under threat.
