Everton boss Roberto Martinez is having Hoffenheim attacker Roberto Firmino watched extensively leading up to the summer market.
Martinez's European scout is camped out watching Hoffenheim's clever South American attacking midfielder, says the People.
Firmino, 22, is also being closely monitored by Manchester United and Liverpool.
Because he has not played for Brazil, he would not automatically get a work permit and may have to sort out German citizenship to move to Britain.
