Costa Rica international defender Gilberto Martinez could stay with Roma this season.

Martinez signed on-loan last summer from Brescia, but struggled with injury and failed to make an impact with the capital club.

The defender's agent, Davide Lippi, said: "It is not excluded that Brescia and Roma will agree over a new loan to the Giallorossi. The boy improves, and wants to demonstrate his value."
