Martinelli at the double as Arsenal smash five past Nottingham Forest

Arsenal have thrashed Nottingham Forest 5-0 at the Emirates in the Carabao Cup third-round.

Gabriel Martinelli grabbed his first goal in his first start for the Gunners to open the scoring after 31 minutes.

Forest held off until the 71 minute mark when Rob Holding started an avalanche of goals for the hosts on his return from injury.

Next was Joe Willock and Reiss Nelson, before Martinelli grabbed his second on the 90th minute mark.

Summer signing Kieran Tierney was mightily impressive on debut, with Hector Bellerin also returning from a long-term injury.
