Martial shares Man Utd teenage goal record with Kidd, Rooney

Manchester United youngster Anthony Martial currently shares a goal record with club legends Brian Kidd and Wayne Rooney for players who made their debuts for the Red Devils as teenagers.

The Frenchman, who was 19 when he arrived at the club, has scored 17 goals in his debut campaign for the club.

Kidd famously scored 17 goals in his debut season after breaking into Sir Matt Busby's first team in 1967/68 as an 18-year-old.

Similarly, Rooney, who arrived as a teenager at Old Trafford from Everton, scored 17 goals in his debut season for United. He was 18 years and 335 days when he scored three goals against Fenerbahce on his debut.

Martial will get an opportunity to go one better on Kidd and Rooney when United take on Bournemouth on the final day of the season this Sunday.
