Florian Thauvin is in Tyneside to complete his £12million to Newcastle United from Marseille, reports the Daily Mirror.

According to the report, France U21 international winger Thauvin underwent a medical and agreed personal terms with the north east club on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Magpies midfielder Remy Cabella is on the verge of completing his loan move, with a view to a permanent transfer, to Stade Velodrome after an uninspiring spell at St. James' Park.

The two deals are said to be independent of each other and set to be completed in the coming days.
