Olympique Marseille winger Florent Thauvin took aim at coach Andre Villas-Boas after defeat to Manchester City.

City were comfortable winners for their second Champions League group game at the Velodrome on Tuesday night.

OM coach Villas-Boas was hammered by the local press for his tactics, particularly a defensive back five.

Thuavin remarked: “We didn't manage to risk anything.

"Honestly, when you spend the entire game defending in the last 30 metres and you have 70 metres to cover to score a goal, it's hard to have the legs to do it."
