French club Marseille have revealed that they are set to sign Abou Diaby.
The 29-year-old French midfielder is available as a free agent after being released by Arsenal earlier this summer following nine years with the Gunners.
Reports in England suggested that the injury-prone Diaby was set to join West Bromwich Albion on a pay-as-you-play contract but it appears as though Marseille are set to sign the former Auxerre man.
"Olympique de Marseille and Abou Diaby have this Tuesday evening reached an agreement in principle for the international midfielder to join the club," Marseille said on their official website.
