Marseille striker Batshuayi passes medical with Chelsea

Marseille's Michy Batshuayi has reportedly passed a medical with Chelsea ahead of a big-money move to the Premier League.

Multiple reports suggest that the Belgium striker underwent the medical test with Chelsea doctors at Chateau du Haillan in Bordeaux on Wednesday and also agreed personal terms with the West London club.

It is understood that Batshuayi will sign a five-year deal for a transfer fee of £33.2million.

Batshuayi, 22, was the subject of offers from Tottenham, West Ham United and Crystal Palace but Chelsea have won the race after agreeing the aforementioned fee with Marseille.

Belgium boss Marc Wilmots gave Batshuayi special dispensation to meet with Chelsea during the Red Devils' preparations for Friday night's Euro2016 quarter-final with Wales in Lille.

Of the deal, Wilmots said: "I think it is best that players are busy with transfers.

"This shows that they have worked hard. They had a free afternoon yesterday and some took the opportunity to move forward with transfer issues. It's good to solve these problems.

"He did not ask me for advice [over the move]. Marseille just asked me to release him for two hours for a medical visit from 10 am to noon. That's all."
