Olympique Marseille star Dimitri Payet has dismissed talk of a return to West Ham United.

Payet admits he was aware of the rumours last year.

He told the Journal de l'île de la Réunion: "What if the media coverage of the return to West Ham last summer was serious?

"Personally, I have had no contact with West Ham. It's part of the transfer window rumours.

"It makes you talk, move, you know how it works."
