French club Olympique Marseille are contemplating going after Andre Villas-Boas.

Reports in France suggest that Marseille chairman Vincent Labrune has extended an invitation to the Zenit saint Petersburg manager to replace Marcelo Bielsa this summer.

Former FC Porto, Chelsea and Tottenham boss Villas-Boas, who has been in charge at Zenit since March last year, has the club sitting eight points clear on top of the Russian Premier League table and also saw them through to the quarter-finals of the Europa League.

Bielsa could be discarded by Marseille at season's end after seeing les Phoceens fall to fifth on the Ligue 1 standings.
