French giants Marseille are growing increasingly optimistic about signing William Saliba from Arsenal.
The Gunners are hoping to integrate Saliba into their first-team this season.
However, Marseille are very keen to sign the centre-half, who was on loan with them last term.
According to L'Equipe, Marseille president Pablo Longoria flew out to London to talk with Saliba's reps this week.
The club are looking to bring him back to France permanently, even though Arsenal are reluctant to sell.
Saliba may want to see how the first few weeks of the Premier League season go before deciding whether to remain or leave.
