Olympique Marseille have expressed interest in Manchester United outcast Bastian Schweinsteiger.

The German has been urged to find a new club by United boss Jose Mourinho, though was registered for this season's Premier League.

Schweinsteiger has stated United will be his final club in Europe, but Marseille hope to force a rethink.

Telefoot says Marseille are considering the veteran midfielder, though direct contact is yet to be made.

United would be happy to grant Schweinsteiger a free transfer if OM firm up their interest in the coming days.
