Olympique Marseille are regretting turning down West Ham United's offer for Morgan Sanson in January.
OM have enlisted former West Ham chief Paul Aldridge to shift several players out of the club this summer as they seek to meet financial fair play demands. As much as €60m must be raised to comply with UEFA's ruling.
Among them is Sanson, who would already be an Irons player if not for OM's shifting valuation.
La Provence quotes an OM source stating, "OM had set the bar at €40m, offers around €23-25m were brought in, but management refused them."
West Ham were one of those offers, but OM turned them down.
Aldridge has now gone back to the Hammers to try to revive negotiations.
