Marseille are reportedly willing to hand Tiemoue Bakayoko a lifeline in January.
The Chelsea midfielder is currently experiencing a horrible loan spell with AC Milan.
The original loan was supposed to last for one season with an option to buy. However, Bakayoko's performances have been criticised publicly by manager Gennaro Gattuso and Milan are now eager to offload the Frenchman as soon as possible.
There will be no place for him at Stamford Bridge as manager Maurizio Sarri is not short of midfield options.
Bakayoko could, however, be offered a chance to join Marseille on loan, according to The Sun.
The move would provide Bakayoko with an opportunity to return to Ligue 1 where he impressed for Monaco before earning his big-money move to London.
